RTV100 from Momentive is a high strength aquarium sealant, silicone-based and capable of providing very strong adhesion for a very long time. It is commonly used in a variety of different general and structural glazing applications and is 100% non-toxic once cured.Once the silicone is cured, it will show minimal changes in elasticity with ultimate elongation peaking at 513% and a tensile strength capable of withstanding up to 480 psi.RTV100 will adhere to most nonporous materials used in construction. Moreover, it can also be used on a variety of finishes, including glass, plastic, vinyl, polycarbonate and coated aluminum. Once it is cured, it will show thermal stability at temperatures ranging from -55 degrees Fahrenheit up to 300 degrees Fahrenheit and it can also withstand temporary exposure to temperatures up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.RTV100 comes as a lightweight paste which is easily used in both hot and cold weather as the consistency remains unchanged while it is being applied.
