It appears to have been designed to display or carry a wine bottle. What makes it special is that it hung from the rafters of Sherry Lehmann, the world’s largest wine and spirit gallery, in the 1930s. The attached copper wire shows it was used for hanging, and the piece remains in excellent condition, well-preserved over the years. It's clean, neat, and a beautiful piece of history.
