This antenna is compatible with any Iridium satellite phone or docking station and will assist in maintaining a strong connection. Due to attenuation of both received and sent signals, a signal loss of more than 3dB in a remote antenna's connecting connection reduces performance. A 3dB loss translates to around 20m of LMR600 or 6m of LMR240 coaxial cable, which severely limits the antenna's mounting possibilities using normal down-leads.
