
2022 Jean Philippe Fichet Bourgogne Blanc
Few producers are as dedicated to showing the true beauty of Meursault's terroir as Jean Philippe-Fichet. This small domaine works with a mere 7 hectares, the vast majority of which are in Meursault and a small plot in Puligny, to produce profound, site expressive Chardonnay like his more famous contemporaries of Roulot and Comtes Lafon. Considering the quality of his wines, Fichet should be far more well known, but since he does not have any holdings in the major Premier Crus like Charmes and Perrieres he is often overlooked. While this is unfortunate for Fichet, it's a win for us because his wines are some of the best in all of Meursault but not priced that way. Jean-Philippe Fichet's dedication to his work is unmatched. He spends every day either out in his vineyards hand tending to the vines or in his winery ensuring each barrel of wine is perfect.
