This pen comes with the original inner and out boxes and Montblanc documentation. This Montblanc Limited Edition Writers Series Edition is known as the Marcel Proust Fountain Pen. The trim is made of 925 sterling silver, as is the eight-sided barrel, which features fine engravings in the style typical of Proust’s main creative period. The hexagonal barrel also bears the engraved signature of the writer from which it takes its name. The top of the cap is surmounted by the ivory-coloured Montblanc star. The 18K two-tone gold nib features the engraving of an hourglass, a reference to his greatest work, "À la recherche du temps perdu".
