1920S SHEAFFER STERLING SILVER "GIFTIE" ENGINE TURNED OVERLAY FOUNTAIN PEN RESTORED

For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Restored circa 1922 Sheaffer Giftie Sterling Silver Flat Top Fountain Pen fitted with a 14K Sheaffer #3 nib. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned, polished, put back together, and now is in fantastic writing condition. This Sheaffer Flat Top is the Sterling "Giftie Model" that is shown in the 1922 Catalog - the catalog shows only the gold fountain pen models so I am unaware of the actual model number of this Giftie Fountain Pen. The sterling overlay displays a box pattern in repeating panels on both the cap and barrel. The design does show some minor wear on the overall pen but in very fine condition. The cap and barrel are marked with, "Sterling & Sheaffer's". I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, and section. Replaced the old rubber sac with a new sac. I hand polished the Sterling Silver Cap, Barrel, Lever Arm, and 14K Sheaffer NIB. The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel. The Sterling Cap
