Vintage Teapot, Japanese Imari with Bamboo Handle, Miyako Japan, Asian / Oriental Decor, Chinoiserie, Tea Lovers, Tea Gifts, Drinkware, Tea Wares, Teapot Collectors, (Discontinued) Made in: Japan for the National Silver Co Vintage: 1970's - 1980's  Details:  This teapot has a very beautiful handcrafted and very ornate Imari pattern with a bamboo handle.  Imari style has a tendency for over-decoration that leads to exaggerated busyness but it is extremely eye catching and the colors on this teapot are so bright and beautiful, they are hard to resist.  Many of the decorations are outlined or accented in gold, and finished with a gold rim.  There is lots of significance and meaning within the decorations.  The pattern features different flowers that symbolize beginning, abundance and rejuvenation.  There is Karakusa, the twists and spirals of this pattern resemble plants or vines.
