Creating botanical art accurately means knowing how to observe your subject. It also means having a having a good understanding of light and shadow, as well as good pencil control. In this class, Amy will guide you through all three to help give you a perfect foundation for all of your botanical drawing. You'll learn:• How botanical subjects are comprised of basic geometric forms.• How to properly shade or "model" forms to achieve a realistic effect.• Terminology related to light and shadow including direct light, indirect light, lack of light, crest shadows, and more.
