Designed in 2016 3" Height, 2.75" Length, 2" Depth Inspired by Nantucket's rich whaling history, the 2016 Limoges Box is a Nantucket Whaling Ship. Similar in design to that of the Essex, perhaps the most famous whaling ship, written about in local Nantucket historian Nathaniel Philbrick's In the Heart of the Sea and fictionalized in Melville's classic Moby Dick. Inside the box you will find a whaling harpoon and a whale's tail painting.
