2019 crop failure. We are working diligently to ensure we have ample stock for next year's growing season. Once established, Jerusalem Artichoke is very vigorous and can produce large yields if thinned and given a chance to spread. It's typically propagated via tubers, and availability of seed is generally very limited largely due to their dormancy, which is still not well understood. Seeds are most often used in breeding new varieties. Naturally low and variable germination, as well as tuber characteristics and yields should be expected. Also known as sunroot, sunchoke, earth apple, and topinambour. Please do not purchase seeds with specific germination requirements unless you are able to provide the proper conditions.
