Aquarium Conditioned-Copperband Butterflyfish
Aquarium Conditioned-Copperband Butterflyfish, Chelmon rostratus. Size: ~2-3+ inches. They will reach up to ~5-6+ inches with maturity. Please see unique care information for this species below: Copperband Butterflyfish are a popular butterflyfish species. The Copperband Butterflyfish has a small long mouth for finding food in crevices. This species is excellent for eating the pest Aiptasia anemones and glass anemones in the aquarium. They are generally considered reef safe but it is possible for them to nip at some inverts such as Feather Dusters or anemones. They generally do not pick at corals. We are feeding them a variety of prepared foods including frozen Mysis shrimp, LRS frozen nano blend, and a variety of other prepared foods at our farm. We recommend feeding them often such as 2-3+ times daily. They love PE Mysis shrimp. We recommend housing this species singly or paired. These do really well paired. They are peaceful fish and friendly to keep with our captive bred seahorses.
