Prolene Windows - BY FAR the most common type of handheld XRF window. If your windows feel as thin as kitchen plastic wrap, then you have Prolene windows! (and no, kitchen plastic wrap will not work) Prolene windows allow for light element analysis and are typical in the Silicon Drift Detector (SDD) models including the Niton XL2 950 and Niton XL2 980. Still, you may have a custom handheld XRF built for your application. If so, check to see which windows came with your analyzer and use of those.
