Echoes of Light

“Echoes of Light” 30 x 40” Acrylic and Oil on Canvas Margaret Harris   Artist Statement: Cloud formations, open skies and rolling plains of Texas had a big impact on my imagination and creativity. My artwork is deeply influenced by my lifetime of experiences - some difficult, some joyful. Each painting begins with collected images and memories. I do not always know where the work will take me, but it consistently ends up as some depiction or abstraction of the sky, clouds or ocean. As I have grown in self knowledge and confidence, I have allowed my work to emerge without a plan - just an inspired memory translated into a peaceful ethereal image.   Artist Bio: Margaret Harris grew up in West Texas and has lived in Dallas since 1988. After a career in media sales, she now studies under two Dallas based painters and commits her days to working as a full time artist in her Dallas studio.
