Lyra Crayon Sharpener for Larger Diameter Wax Crayons

CRAYON SHARPENER No one wants a dull-tipped crayon! This eco-friendly, receptacle sharpener for wax crayons is what I call an efficient sharpener! It needs to remove very little to make the beast of points on your child’s stick crayons again. MATERIALS The Lyra crayon sharpener has a removable, extra heavy duty, European cardboard tube bottom and a sturdy wooden top. Both are biodegradable for the long-term. A sharp, steel sharpening blade is inside the wooden sharpener which fits down into the removable cardboard receptacle. SIZES The large size crayon sharpener is great for beeswax crayon sticks up to 0.47” (12mm) and works well with the thicker Fila, Lyra and Stockmar brand stick crayons. The size of the overall sharpener is easy for big and little hands to hold and use and even though it’s larger than a non-receptacle sharpener, it’s still a good size for most supply bags. The dimensions are 3 x 1.3 x 0.9 inches. However, it stands nicely on a home desk too.    SAFETY Lyra Colored Pencils are made from wood harvested from a sustainably managed forest with PEFC certification. They are Art + Creative Materials Institute Certified (ACMI) + AP certified as nontoxic. They are also CE marked and so conform to European standards for health, safety and environmental protection.
