This concept is envisioned as an ultra-compact, rifle-caliber personal defense weapon. Designed to fill the unique role between pistol and rifle, by combining the capabilities of the latest generation of PDW systems while greatly reducing any logistical burden. This concept rifle was made to be used by personnel operating in space restricted areas such as vehicles or aircraft. While development for the PDR stopped in 2011, the weapon has seen extensive use in video games and movies due to its unique and futuristic appearance.
