The steak was always too tough, and the gravy was either too hot or too cold, and what/where is Salisbury anyway? Who cares?! Those dinners were reliable, kinda delicious, and even Dad could prepare them when Mom was out with her friends. The best part, a frozen dinner signaled a naughty break from the dining room table, an indulgent evening of eating WHILE watching TV. Bliss indeed. Foil wrapped dinners on a tiny metal table, TVs that were giant furniture objects, and allllll those hours spent talking on a heavy, land line. Sweet moments in time for many of us, or a seemingly foreign world encapsulated on 'Stranger Things' for others.
