MiG-17

The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-17, known by the NATO reporting name "Fresco", is a swept-wing jet fighter developed in the Soviet Union. It was a successor to the successful MiG-15 and incorporated several advancements for improved speed and handling. The MiG-17 is particularly well-known for its role in the Vietnam War. 10,649 MiG-17 fighter aircraft were built. This includes both the Soviet-built MiG-17s and the licensed versions produced in Poland, Czechoslovakia, and China.
