These antique original Hand-Colored Prints are from the hugely popular 40 volume set of The Naturalist's Library (c.1833-1843). The forty volumes included over 1,300 hand-colored plates produced from Steel Engravings by William H. Lizars and edited by Sir William Jardine. This highly collectible set was published in four main sections: Ornithology (14 volumes), Mammalia (13 volumes), Entomology (7 volumes), and Ichthyology (6 volumes) by W. H.
