Where necessary, the author has engaged the original Greek of Revelation but in a way that those who do not read Greek can understand the insights the original language provides. The commentary sets the message of Revelation in the context of the first-century churches in Asia, but also seeks to identify the theological principles that are relevant for the church in the twenty-first century. About the Author Ian A. Fair has been teaching Revelation at the university level for forty years. He is the former dean of the College of Biblical Studies at Abilene Christian University where he also served as a professor of New Testament for twenty-five years. He holds a B.A.Hon., M.A. in New Testament, and a Ph.D. in Systematic Theology all from the University of Natal, South Africa.
