Math Review for Eighth Grade & Level up to Ninth Grade Lesson Intentions: Each section of work includes a brief review (where needed) of how to do the work and directions. The work sections in the eighth-grade kit includes: algebraic principles for linear equations, irrational numbers, exponents & radicals, scientific notation, proportional relationships, functions, geometric transformations and their properties, parallel line properties, Pythagorean Theorem, distance formula, surface area and volume of cylinders and spheres. At the end of the summer or review, you or your child/student can post how many days were finished on either the ABC Crate Instagram or the ABC Crate Facebook page to win a prize that will be mailed to your child. I would recommend logging the days that need to be completed on a calendar (there are three copies of a calendar for your use in the kit) with your child to set expectations for your child at the start of the summer or review.
