
Royston Ribbon Turquoise Pebble Cuff Bracelet
The vibrant blue ribbon in this striking Royston Ribbon Turquoise reminds me of a river flowing through open plains. To enhance the nature design of the cuff, I accented the band with flattened sterling silver balls to resemble pebbles. The natural stone is set in a fine silver bezel. The band is heavy gauge sterling silver measuring 8mm wide by 1.5mm thick. The cuff measures 5-3/4" in length and can be adjusted to fit wrists 6" and up. All metal is sterling silver (except the fine silver bezel) that has been oxidized, tumble polished and sealed with a protective coating. Royston Ribbon Turquoise is from the Boulder turquoise mine in northeast Nevada. It was originally discovered in the 1970s by a Shoshone sheep herder who stumbled upon a vein of turquoise on the hillside while tending sheep. The turquoise develops in amazing veins or ribbons and the stonecutter enhances the beauty of the stone by optimizing the placement of the ribbon. Production has been small due to the remote loc
