(the direction of the skull is reversed) The red spikes jutting off the abdomen are not actually necessary to maintain the structural integrity of the design, they are only for aesthetics. So if you do not like them you can skip that step/color. The skull on  the abdomen is also purely decorative so you can skip the last step. This allows you to have more variations in the look of t
