Sometimes when we use heat transfer vinyl instead of fabric in applique designs, the satin stitch edging “cuts” the vinyl making it easy to tear away from edges inside and outside of the design. We want the vinyl to stay on the inside of the design. Jonathan has come up with a way to help the inside vinyl stay in place a little more securely until you can iron it in place after the design is finished.
