
Victorian 14kt Banded Agate Watch Keys Fob/Pendant
Old-fashioned and Victorian era watches were generally wound using a small key that would fit into a space at the front of the watch. Watch keys were not only designed for utility, but were often decorative pieces that doubled as pendants or fobs. They are still appreciated for their designs as wearable pieces of jewelry, though they are not generally used for their original winding purpose in the modern day. Antique watch fobs have become quite popular among collectors! An unusual pair of watch key fobs from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each of these handmade charms is carved from banded agate, and set in 14kt gold. Both watch keys are similar in size and design, and form a complimentary pair, though they are not identical. The banded agate stones are smoothly polished, and display an incredibly beautiful pattern of natural stripes, which include earthy shades of black, grey, white, and brown. The attached gold findings include the tapered barrel-shaped keys at the base, and gold swiv
