Winemaker Description 19 Crimes The Uprising is a red wine from Australia that has been aged for 30 days in rum barrels. It is made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and has a dark color with jammy berry flavors and a smoky finish. It has notes of mocha, caramel, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Intensely rich with a jammy finish. The 19 crimes turned convicts into colonists. Upon conviction, British rogues guilty of one of the 19 crimes were sentenced to live in Australia, over penalty of death. For those rough-hewn prisoners who survived the treacherous journey at seas, they forged a new country and life as pioneers in a new frontier. Today 19 Crimes celebrates nonconformists and those rule breakers who challenge the status quo.
