We've tried several over the years for some of our rentals, and the most common problem we'd run into is slow-heating, weak burners. This is the first time we purchased this brand/item, and we're really impressed at how quickly and how hot it heated -- right up there with how a regular stove performs. We tested it out by cooking a complete pasta dinner, using it right out of the box, boiling the pasta on one burner and cooking homemade sauce on the other, and it did a great job. However, we did notice an issue with the right-hand burner not getting as hot as the other burner when turned up to maximum heat. I remember another reviewer here experienced this same issue and he assumed it might be built into the model. Since we experienced it as well, that reviewer may be right, which is the reason we've decided not to go through the trouble of replacing it. That burner still heats up well enough; we'd say its maximum heat level reached 1-2 points lower than the other. But overall, this cooktop is still comparable to a regular stovetop. We think our tenant will be happy with it and get really nice use out of it. Time will tell how durable and how well it will keep working. I do not know the reason?I expect this cooker has a bug or all of these cookers come with the same design.
