Oyster Fork Set Antique French, Cocktail Forks, Sterling Silver Six  Boxed  A set of six French sterling silver oyster or cocktail forks set in their presentation case. A handsome set in a classic style without ornamentation. A thoughtful wedding or anniversary gift. French, .950 sterling silver as denoted by the 1st Titre Punch. The makers punch is for Charles-Alfred Coignet. His mark was entered in 1865, in 1889 his son took over his business. Measurements; 5 7/8” long, 160 grams in weight (silver only) Condition Report; there are fine surface scratches and a tiny ding or two on the fork handles. Leatherette box shows some wear on the edges and a bit of tarnish stain on the satin lining. All in accordance with the age and use of the set.
