
The Winchester - Prototype 3D Printed in Aluminum
The first prototype of our new Winchester shape. 3D Printed in aluminum. 3 loft / 70 lie. 352g. This putter was inspired by a shape made by another company a few decades back. That design was about as low MOI as a putter can be (very compact, almost all of the mass of the putter concentrated directly in the center), yet something about it really worked visually for some players. That putter was even used to win a major championship.... Seeing one on instagram recently made me think about what could be done today with 3D printing to capture some of the visual appeal of that design but boost the MOI and forgiveness up to a more competitive level. And the Winchester is the result. It's a much bigger putter than the design that inspired it (4.5" wide heel to toe). The heel and toe are loaded with tungsten (about 55g in each, covered by titanium inlays adorned with a lasered scroll pattern), along with a big slug of exposed tungsten at the rear of the cylindrical flange, yielding
