Learn the music theory and composition techniques to bring your musical ideas from your head to the DAW, and learn the steps to arrange your track from start to finish. Knowing your DAW inside out is essential, but will not necessarily lead to making good music. To write a great song you need to understand how the various musical elements such as melody, harmony, bass and arrangement come together to create a cohesive composition that can ultimately express your message. In this course you’ll cover the fundamentals of music theory and apply this knowledge to compose great melodies, chord progressions, and drum patterns. You’ll learn how to take your initial 4-bar idea and turn it into a full arrangement, so that you’ll leave the course with an inspired original track. Requirements: This is a beginner level course with no prior music knowledge required. We recommend pairing this course with one of the beginner music production courses.
