What is Pinon you may ask? We get that question all the time. The pinon nut is from the Pinon Pine tree which is the New Mexico State Tree. It grows generally in the Southwestern US at elevations from about 5000 feet up to roughly 7000 feet. The pinon nuts it produces in the fall are an epicurean delight.
