Mieshiel (Me-shy-el) is a life long artist who has been a Taos NM resident for over 30 years. He has had numerous one man and group shows across the Southwest US as well as on both coasts . He has been developing and perfecting his unique drawing style he is known for since 1982 where he attended the prestigious Cal - Arts and received a BFA in graphic design. Mieshiel lives in a serene off-the -grid solar powered community on the edge of Taos county where the ever changing colors of land and sky continue to inspire him. Mieshiel was born in new york City and raised in a family of artists. Having an early appreciation of the arts he attended art openings in his native SoHo district when most kids his age were attending baseball games. This exposure to some of the best cutting edge art of the era inspired him to continually expand his ideas and he soon realized that in the art world, indeed anything is possible.
