The left and right mittens are the same except for the thumb placement. However, each hand is written separately so you can just cast on and go without calculating where the thumb needs to be. Suggested Yarn: 1 skein Fiddle Knits, Vivace [100% merino; 218 yds; 100g]; worsted weight; Color: Storm Warning Finished Size - Adult: Approx. 8” palm x 11.25” long (including cuff) Gauge: (Using Smaller Needle) 32 sts & 32 rows = 4” in 2x2 ribbing relaxed; (Using Larger Needle) 18 sts & 23 rnds = 4” in stockinette stitch Needles: US 5 / 3.75mm dpns; US 7 / 4.5mm dpns, or needles for working in the rnd. Adjust needle size to obtain correct gauge.
