1-2-3-4 Go! Records "Wax Trax" Shirt
Our humble shop is a part of a very rich history of store's turning into record labels and record labels turning in to stores. In an effort to spotlight some of our favorite stores, store's with labels...and labels with stores we've decided to pay tribute to some of them with t-shirts inspired by them. First up is Wax Trax! Founded as a record store in 1978 in Denver by Jim Nash and Dannie Flesher. The couple sold the store in Colorado (which is still open under the Wax Trax name by the way!) before moving to Chicago during the 80's to open another shop and to start the groundbreaking label of the same name giving us releases from KMFDM, Front 242, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, Coil, Foetus, Front Line Assembly, Laibach, Naked Raygun and an astounding amount of others. Our shirt was designed by Hard Candy and inspired by an original Wax Trax design from the record shop days which they still print. Checkout their merch on their site by CLICKING HERE.
