Using knit and purl stitches, you will create ribbing, knit in the round, and decrease and shape. This hat will be super cozy to wear in the cold weather. Yarn Any medium (04) yarn/aran/worsted/10 ply. 100g I used 1 skein of Alize Lanagold Classic in 521. A good yarn substitute - Cascade 220 Superwash Aran. Needles 5.5mm (US 9) 16" circular knitting needles Please note – you may have to change your needles for the decreases of the hat if working on the circulars becomes too tight. This would mean using a set of size 5.5 mm double-pointed needles (DPNs). If you do not have those, you could use a 60cm/24″ cable and use the magic loop technique. • SKILLS Level – Easy This is an easy level knitting pattern and the techniques involved are the knit stitch, purl stitch, increasing, decreasing, and working in the round. • SIZING Baby, Toddler, Child, Adult Adult Hat lying flat and un stretched - Height = 12 inches / width = 6 inches Child Hat lying flat and un stretched - Height = 11 inches / width = 5.5 inches Toddler Hat lying flat and un stretched - Height = 10.5 inches / width = 5 inches Baby Hat lying flat and un stretched - Height = 10 inches / width = 4.5 inches • SELLING FINISHED ITEMS Small batch sales of finished pieces made from this pattern are permitted, but the seller must use their own photographs and credit must be given to Handy Little Me as the designer. • HELP Join The Handy Little Me Knitting + Crochet Community to connect with other makers of Handy Little Me patterns for help with techniques and pattern-related questions.
